None. There is no sign-up and no login. We do not ask for your name, email, contact details or device identifiers. We do not use your device’s location permission, and we have not included any analytics or advertising software.
Display settings — which layers are on, how far you have read the letters — are kept in your device’s own browser storage. They are never transmitted anywhere, and clearing the app’s data removes them.
To fetch maps and live information the app contacts the services below. In doing so those servers may technically receive ordinary web request information such as an IP address. We neither receive nor keep those records — we have no server that could hold user data.
Wind and ocean currents (NOAA), terrain elevation and the place-name dictionary ship inside the app. They are read on the device without contacting anyone.
The app is suitable for all ages. We collect no personal data from children and serve no advertising to them.
